We’ve walked the walk

Newtown Partners was founded by Llew Claasen and Vinny Lingham, two entrepreneurs on the set of Dragon’s Den South Africa.

We have worked the trenches

We’ve launched, grown and sold technology startups globally. We are proven technology entrepreneurs who know what is needed to succeed. As investors, we have successfully invested in and nurtured a number of early-stage companies from ideation to market-leading businesses.

Evolved into blockchain specialists

We have assisted startups that we’ve invested in, with designing and issuing cryptocurrency tokens since 2016. As a result, we have acquired specialized skills and experience in token economics, token sale design and demand generation. We now specialize in token economy design, implementation and maintenance of customized digital token economies for our clients.

Newtown Partners invests significant time and skill into ensuring that the tokens we work with have utility and value across a wide spectrum of industries and use cases. Recent industries that we’ve worked in include identity management (Civic), financial services (Wala), augmented reality (Augmentors), media, cybersecurity and esports.

A proven track record of success

We have a proven track record of developing high-growth startup companies, including helping many of them with token economy design and token sales. Our portfolio companies have enjoyed some of the following recent successes:
