Vinny founded Gyft, the virtual gift card service. Gyft was acquired by First Data in a $50M+ deal in July 2014 to further its expansion.
Llew and Vinny co-founded Clicks2customers and disposed of a controlling stake to a consortium of private investors in 2007 for an undisclosed amount. The digital marketing agency now has annual billings in excess of $100 million.
Newtown was an initial investor in WumDrop the trendy on-demand courier and delivery startup and in 2017 sold this stake to a national South African retailer, for an undisclosed sum.
Newtown invested in Ekaya, the Cape Town rental listings platform, on Dragon’s Den, in return for 10 percent of the startup. Newtown sold this stake in 2016 to a national South African property group, for an undisclosed sum.
